Video: Police Brutality at SF Pride

Police were caught using excessive force during San Francisco's Pride celebration this year. In the beginning of this video you can see the police surround a girl who was not being violent, deck her, and beat the people around her with batons. One girl then swoops in to steal one of the batons while bystanders yell "fuck the police."

The video leaked just days before the jury's verdict is expected on the charges to the Bart police officer accused of shooting a young man named Oscar Grant for no apparent reason.

Protesters are expected when the verdict is announced. We join in the calls for solidarity against police brutality, and the oppressive prison industrial complex.
